Training
NDC Grove Hall Computer Learning Center was the first CDC to be awarded a Timothy Smith Foundation
grant that not only services the needs of community residents that reside in the Roxbury-North
Dorchester areas, but also those who reside within Boston’s Enhanced Enterprise Community.
If your group or staff is interested in learning about basic job skills or the Internet, we
can provide them with training.
College Assistance Program
Our college assistance training is designed to help students prepare for their SAT and assist
with filling out computerized college applications, through the use of SAT and the College
Link Software.
Adult Training
Our (sliding fee) classes are intended to teach basis skills necessary for becoming computer
and Internet literate. Introductory classes are for individuals who have little or NO previous
experience. Classes include:
• Introduction to computers
• Introduction to Windows
• Windows XP or 2000
• Word Processing
• Introduction to the Internet
• Microsoft Office Senior
Citizen Training
This class is intended to make senior citizens feel comfortable using computers and build confidence
so that they can learn basic computer skills and how to use the Internet. Come learn how to
make birthday, holiday, business cards and calendars. We will work at your pace. |
